Joseph R. Lackey, Esq.
Joseph Lackey earned his B.A. from Florida Southern College, his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, and his Spanish law degree from the University of Barcelona. Licensed to practice law in Florida and Spain, and able to practice immigration law throughout the nation, Joseph has traveled from one end of the country to the other to serve his clients and protect their rights. While Joseph handles a wide range of immigration issues for his clients, he is well known for helping International Medical Graduates with visas and representing clients with in criminal matters that have immigration implications. Joseph is a frequent speaker to International Medical Graduates participating in USMLE preparation classes helping the students understand what their options are in the US.
Joseph Lackey is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar. Joseph is fluent in English and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of Catalán.
Grace M. Gómez, Esq.
Grace Gómez is a Cuban American and Miami native who was born in Puerto Rico. Grace earned her B.S. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Florida State University and her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law on a full merit scholarship. Grace was awarded the Judge Thomas Penick Award for Community Service while at Stetson. Grace represents clients in a wide range of immigration law issues such as family based immigration, citizenship, professional visas and residency she is nationally known for her work in obtaining immigration asylum for lesbian, gay, and transgendered immigrants seeking asylum due to severe persecution in the home countries. Grace has been recognized as one of the top lawyers in the nation helping persecuted homosexual immigrants from Jamaica—a country with violent anti-gay laws.
Grace has worked for several immigration firms including Catholic Legal Services of the Archdiocese of Miami. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Grace Gómez is a licensed member of the Florida Bar, as well as, the Southern District of Florida. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of French.
